Since its formation in 2009 by Garry Brown, Your Print Specialists (YPS) has shown continuous growth and is now one of the UK’s leading suppliers to the sign, print and graphics display market. The company has announced that it has established a new management team that is committed to the future success of YPS by strengthening its product portfolio and building on its operational excellence and customer service.
Georgia Brown has been appointed Managing Director, Paul Shorton as Technical Director, Wayne Jobling as Operations Director and Lisa Brown as HR Director. Garry Brown remains a Director and takes on the role of Chairman of the Board, focusing on the strategy and development of the overall business.
Georgia explains, “The new management team has full responsibility for business operations and the day-to-day running of YPS. We will work alongside Garry to continue to shape, develop and grow his vision for the company. As we come out of the pandemic there are many challenges to be faced and we have put together a strong management team that we know works well together and is focused on the long term success of the business and our customers.”
Garry Brown adds, “Each member of the board has been a valued member of the YPS family for many years and their experience, knowledge and expertise has helped make YPS the successful and well-respected company that it is. Each member of the board adds strength and depth to the company, helping us become more resilient with shared views and objectives. I am very confident they will continue to develop the business using the core principles of delivering great products, high levels of customer service and having an ethical and responsible relationship with all our staff, customers and suppliers.”
The new YPS Management Team
Managing Director, Georgia Brown joined the company in 2014 and was appointed Sales Director in 2017. In this role, she oversaw the day to day sales and marketing operations and ensured YPS remained focused on meeting the needs and goals of customers. As Managing Director, Georgia will focus on the sales, planning and organisation of YPS, as well as building and maintaining an effective management team to ensure the very best in customer service performance.
Paul Shorton has worked at YPS for the last 11 years as the service manager. In this time he has led and developed the service department by introducing new processes that continue to improve the customer service experience. As Technical Director, Paul will lead the development of the YPS Service department and ensure customer service satisfaction continues to be a key priority. Paul will still be available for any technical advice in his role as head engineer, attending to service calls and offering installation and training, as well as advising customers on how to achieve optimal results from their large format equipment and software.
Lisa Brown joined YPS as an HR Business Partner working remotely for the business to provide guidance relating to HR principles. She brings a wealth of experience in customer service and Human Resources in different business sectors to her new role as HR Director, as well as over 28 years of experience in business management and accountable leadership.
Wayne Jobling joined YPS in 2015, having spent 10 years working as a Global Procurement Analyst within the chemical industry. Within his role as Service Development Manager, Wayne played a pivotal role in the implementation of the new accounting, service and inventory management systems. As Operations Director, Wayne will be an integral part of the new YPS management team, focusing heavily on finance, customer support and engineering.
Georgia Brown concludes, “Despite the difficulties our industry has faced over the past year, we are looking very positively to the future. We have great products, great customers and a great team to ensure we can deliver the solutions needed to help everyone get back to trading profitably again. YPS has always been a trusted and reliable partner and that remains the priority of our new management team as we aim to help and support our customers through the exciting times to come.”
