Despite its full launch being held up by the national lockdown, YPS is keen to let everyone know that the Your Print Institute is ready to help people throughout the industry. The Institute is a nationwide initiative designed to attract industry experts, manufacturers, educators and students to come together to enable digital printmaking for promotional apparel, upholstery and fine art/photographic reproductions.
Your Print Institute is collaborating with like-minded creative centres such as Anthony Devine’s Print Society in Manchester and Autumn Down’s Maker Station in London, with more planned for the future. By getting involved in the Institute, people will have the opportunity to join a range of training courses, gain recognised qualifications and receive industry-specific business advice and support from experienced professionals.
These Hubs are being established, rolled out and developed throughout the UK, with each one having its own particular skill sets to strengthen the community. As lockdown eases, people will soon be able to visit these relaxed and friendly hubs where makers, creatives and new startups can come to learn all aspects of the industry and how to build a viable business within it. The first hub to be opened fully will be at YPS’ offices in Newcastle.
