RolandDG (Roland) have announced their latest releases for 2021. The machines are set to make Roland stand out from the crowd, as they have announced two wide-format UV print & cut machines in addition to their new UV flatbed series, all compatible with their Versaworks software.
The VersaUV wide-format series consists of the LEC2-330 which is intended for packaging prototypes and labels and the LEC2-640 for creating signage, POP displays, interior decor and window graphics. Each of these machines is a UV LED print and cut wide format printer. Additionally, Roland has announced their VersaUV LEC2 S-Series. These UV flatbed printers are designed to print onto a wide range of substrates and are a great addition to Roland’s portfolio.
Roland introduces their new VersaUV LEC2 range as "Designed by perfectionists for perfectionists". This gives the series a great introduction. Roland is known for its worldwide pioneering in the sign, graphics, packaging, and textile industries.
YPS is excited to add these new releases to their Roland range. Managing Director, Georgia Brown comments
“A new addition to the Roland range YPS carries is always exciting. Roland is known for its innovative creations and competitive developments. We look forward to holding their new VersaUV LEC2 range at YPS.”
Roland has developed the new VersaUV LEC2 range with their current customers in mind, these are perfect if you own a wide format machine and are looking for a printer that does it all. This brings us to our first reason to buy;
1. All-in-one solution
Roland’s VersaUV LEC2 range is your one-stop-shop wide format printer. The machine can print, cut, perforate cut, varnish, emboss and add extra special textured UV ink effects to your prints. There is no need for an extra cutting station with this all-in machine.
YPS understands when upgrading machines our customers need multiple reasons to invest. Luckily for us, Roland knew their demographic when creating these printers, and intended this new range to be everything you need in one machine.
2. New ECO-UV EUV5 inks
The VersaUV LEC2 machines are compatible with Roland’s new ECO-UV EUV5 inks. These are available in CMYK, high opacity white, gloss and primer. This gives you the freedom to choose the configuration that works best for your business.
With the range of configurations available with the new generation ink, you can create powerful effects to both impress and inspire your clients. These new ECO-UV EUV5 inks are also GreenGuard Gold certified making them ideal for indoor applications.
3. Extensive media compatibility
Another way to inspire your clients is with a wide range of media. Creating a wide range for your customers to choose from will interest new potential clients and inspire your current clients to broaden their range.
The VersaUV LEC2 series combined with ECO-UV EUV5 inks can print on a variety of substrates including foils, BOPP, PE, PET film, window films, backlit, PVC, banner, and more. Creating more options with thinner media, than you have used before.
4. Premium quality curing
Roland’s innovative printhead technology optimises ink precision meaning even the smallest text and details are reproduced precisely. Combined with new powerful, larger LED lamps which make curing ink even faster.
This desirable feature will make your business more efficient. LED lamps instantly cure inks which in turn allows your prints to be finished and installed immediately. Therefore allowing you to offer fast turnaround times to your clients.
5. User-friendly Versaworks
The VersaUV LEC2-330 & LEC2-640 are compatible with Roland’s well-known RIP software, Versaworks. The software is packed full of features to speed up print production and handy tools such as ‘Multiple Job Grouping’ for ease of use.
Additional features such as ‘Job Assistant’, which lets you add cut lines directly in the RIP, have recently been added, in-keeping with Roland’s innovative formation.
