Your Print Specialists (YPS) won the IPIA Recognising Excellence Innovation Masterclass award 2021.
Firstly we would like to thank the IPIA & IPIA members who voted for us. It is an honour to be recognised for our Your Print Institute (YPI) and the work we are doing to close the skill gap in the print industry.
IPIA
The IPIA, Independent Print Industries Association, was originally formed in 1990 as a non-profit trade association, focusing on helping its members develop their business in the print industry.
The IPIA supports their members by helping them expand their reach and introducing them to other members. With members mutually supporting each other through the industry they aid each other's business growth.
Your Print Institute
YPI is an initiative designed to help commercial printers, sign makers, designers, creatives and crafters gain skills. Which, then allows them to harness their talents and help them get saleable products to market. Equally, bringing together communities of creative individuals through local resource centres that enable and support digital printmaking.
Consequently, this is a unique opportunity for everyone in the industry. From technical and application experts, manufacturers, and suppliers to come together with end-users, home-workers, and students to share knowledge, experience, and expertise. This will help creatives and small businesses looking to get involved in digital print the ability to accelerate ideas, connect with key personnel, and share resources and knowledge to help them get their creative businesses up and running.
IPIA Recognising Excellence Awards 2021
On Thursday 2nd December 2021 the YPS team headed down to the Crowne Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon.
Beginning with a Champagne reception at 7pm, we mingled with the likes of Fujifilm, Epson, Vivid and other companies in the print world.
Sitting down for our meal around 7.30pm on table 17 we enjoyed the company of Mr IPIA himself, Brendan Perring & Natalie Evans, IPIA Administration Assistant.
At 9pm the President's Address discussed the current state of the industry and today's climate, taking into consideration the COVID-19 pandemic and how the print industry has reacted.
From the president's address, we moved on to the Recognising Excellence awards. Each award was divided into award winners & highly commended.
YPS won the ‘Innovation Masterclass’ award while Fujifilm were highly commended in the same category. This award celebrates and showcases the innovation, diversification, and resilience shown by YPS. Especially in regard to the pandemic, it recognises how their business has adapted, diversified or used technology most effectively to ensure growth and success. YPS were recognised in this category for our Your Print Institute.
Thank you to Brendan and the whole team at the IPIA for having us, it was lovely to get back to face-to-face events and talk to people in the industry again.
