In September 2021 Your Print Specialists (YPS) visited Beth at BOBO1325 designs to film our latest collaboration featuring the Epson SureColor SC-F500.
On the 8th September YPS’ marketing team headed down to Manchester to meet Beth at her base in AWOL Studios. By 11.30am we had arrived, meeting our videographer, Wayne from Hilton Media, and hit the ground running with filming.
From first glance Beth’s studio is impressive, as you keep looking you will notice small details in her designs and decor that will continue to grasp your attention. From lampshades draped in Beth’s design Adrift to the Frenemy wallpaper, we were totally amazed by Beth’s studio.
The first day of filming was filled with every detail of Beth’s HQ, the original lift in AWOL studios and establishing shots of the area, including the canal behind Beth’s grade II listed building. AWOL studios was originally a cotton spinning and fustian weaving mill. Throughout the years the building housed a number of businesses, from engineering works to a dog bed factory, gradually falling into decline and disrepair until it was saved by Hope Mill Partnership in 2001. With AWOL being the first business to lay down its artistic foundations in Hope Mill in 2007 it has become one of the most important centres for the arts in Manchester, making it ideal for BOBO1325.
After a full day of content we all treated ourselves to a trip to Almost Famous, to fuel up for a second day of filming the following morning.
On the 9th September we woke up to a gloomy and humid Manchester, wasting no time we met Beth at AWOL studios and began with with filming her interview, discussing how her Epson SureColor aids her design process.
Next up was a visit to QBIC. A hotel based in the heart of Manchester, just round the corner from Deansgate. The lobby of QBIC is wall to wall BOBO1325, from each armchair & sofa, to the wallpaper & tiles, the hotel embodies Beth and her creative mind.
Once we could eventually pull ourselves away from QBIC’s interior decor we had our last few shots of Beth in her element, we said our goodbyes to Beth and the creative sector of Manchester and headed back to the North East.
