Who would have thought that facemasks would be the big fashion statement of 2020?
In these unsettling times and possibly for many more months to come, it looks like everyone will be expected to wear some sort of mask when in certain public places. The creation and sourcing of masks and other personal protection equipment have been big news and even now there still doesn’t appear to be an easy and accessible solution out there for most of us. At some point, we must hope and assume that there will be enough basic masks available for everyone to buy and use when they need to, but here at YPS, we know that many people want a little more than basic.
With our new Business in a Box, a complete printing, heat press and stitching solution that can be operated from the kitchen table, we are seeing users already creating their own range of personalised face masks as a potential business opportunity. To show this in action, we have been making some in our showroom to donate to local keyworkers who need masks for getting to and from work.
Our digital marketing assistant, Laura Ritson’s mam Adele, works at a local hospital and she and her colleagues were delighted to be given a set of personalised masks to use when out and about.
“While these cannot be used on the ward itself, it is still very important for us to be as safe as possible as we come to and from work and go to shops etc. This a lovely gesture from YPS and it’s great to have masks that are personal and special. The masks themselves are very comfortable and I love the idea that we are wearing something unique to us,” she says.
